Gordon has played squash and latterly racketball since his 30’s and been a member of the Jersey Squash and Racketball Club for over 45 years. In 2012 he founded, and continues to run, the Racketball Ouest Leagues at Les Quennevais Sports Centre. As a qualified coach he provides tuition mainly to encourage beginners and intermediate players. Gordon has a life involvement in sport, he has won C.I. British and European titles in both surfing and sailing, is a recipient of the Jersey Sport Lifetime Achievement award as well as receiving honorary life memberships of the Jersey Surfboard Club, the Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club and the European Hobie Class Association. His time in summer is also taken up organising racing and training for the RCIYC Hobie Fleet including the Junior squad, focusing not only on sailing skills but also teamwork and communication, supporting them to be the best they can be.
